This module is the first of four courses in the iCARE learning program, designed to equip caregivers with essential knowledge and practical strategies to guide young people through critical challenges related to substance use. In this course, we'll dive into the impact of various substances on the adolescent brain, including dopamine's role in addiction, and the risks highlighted in each video, covering alcohol, marijuana, nicotine, opioids, stimulants, and inhalants. Through the video lessons, caregivers will learn to identify signs of misuse, foster open communication, set clear boundaries, and model healthy behaviors, ultimately empowering them to support their teens in making informed, positive choices for a future of growth and opportunity. The module also emphasizes the importance of addressing underlying mental health concerns and advocating for science-based policies.
Please enroll and then we'll get started with a brief questionnaire to better understand what brought you here today.
